Our Story

The Company That Started It All

It was 1996. Kolkata was on the cusp of a technology revolution, but most of West Bengal's youth were being left behind. Access to computer education was expensive, limited to the privileged, and confined to a few urban pockets.

Excel Infocom was founded by a small, passionate team of five, working out of a 600 sq. ft. office with just USD 2,000 in starting capital. We approached the Department of Youth Services & Sports, Government of West Bengal, with a bold proposal — and became the first private organisation to establish Youth Computer Training Centres across the state.

What began as one centre has become approximately 1,000. What started as one company's dream has become a statewide movement that has shaped the careers and lives of over 25 lakh young people.

Our Journey Through The Years

1996
Excel Infocom Founded — 5 employees, 600 sq. ft., USD 2,000 capital
1997–1999
First YCTC Established — in collaboration with WB Dept. of Youth Services & Sports. A state movement is born.
Early 2000s
ISO 9001:2000 Certification achieved. Multi-district expansion begins.
2005
Eframe Infomedia subsidiary established — creative media & technology arm.
2010s
